Specific health, safety, and sanitation measures have been implemented as a matter of Club Policy over the past years to protect our gymnastics community as a matter of health and safety. We are pleased to report this result and to assure our families that safety and sanitation are our highest priority.
Masks are permitted in the training studio, but not required. Masking can sometimes create a safety hazard on certain gymnastics equipment.
Generally:
• All youth classes and teams that serve students during in-studio training are following general Oregon OSHA guidelines and practices as well as specific club policies.
• Student to student contact is generally prohibited during most training. Students will clean hands before entering the training studio at the beginning of each class, and hand sanitizers remain stationed throughout the the studio, available for use as needed.
• Access to the training studio is limited to a quota of students and staff only at any given time. CCTV monitors and windows are available in the Pro Shop where guests can watch classes. Only adults certified by USA Gymnastics and properly back-ground checked may enter the training studio. No minor children are permitted in the training studio at any time unless participating in a class or camp.
• Equipment in the training studio is sanitized on a regular schedule; the entire clubhouse is disinfected on a periodic schedule. The public lobby and restrooms are cleaned and sanitized daily.
• Training studio is maintainted at a temperature of 64 to 78 degrees, depending on season. A fresh-air exchange continuously replaces interior air with fresh outdoor air. Additional MERV 15 commercial filters were added to filter both the indoor circulated air as well as to prevent the introduction of outdoor dust, pollen, insects, and other pollutants.
Students must bring a ZIPPERED gym bag or back pack to stow loose garments and other personal items. A refillable water bottle is required of all students. No street shoes or street garments are permitted to be worn in the training studio and must be stowed in the appropriate gym bag/backpack.
